These terms are the agreement between you and Palate for using the app. By creating an account or using Palate, you agree to them. We’ve kept them short and plain.
Palate keeps a private notebook of what you’ve eaten and suggests what to order from your own history. It’s a memory aid and a bit of opinion — not professional dietary, nutritional, medical, or allergy advice. Always check ingredients yourself if you have an allergy or dietary restriction; don’t rely on Palate for health decisions.
You sign in with your email address using a one-time verification code — there’s no password for us to store. Keep access to your email secure. Accounts are for one person; don’t share your account, and let us know if you suspect unauthorized use. You must be at least 13 years old to use Palate.
You keep ownership of everything you log. You grant us only the permission needed to store your notebook and show it back to you, and to process it through the service providers described in our Privacy Policy so the app can work. We don’t sell your content or share it for advertising.
Don’t use Palate to break the law, infringe others’ rights, or attack, overload, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the service. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.
We work to keep Palate running but can’t promise it’s always available or error-free, and features may change as the app grows. The service is provided “as is,” without warranties, to the extent the law allows. To the extent permitted by law, Palate is not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the app.
You can delete your account and everything in it at any time from Account → Delete account. You can stop using Palate whenever you like.
We may update these terms as Palate evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above, and where appropriate, noted in the app. Continuing to use Palate after a change means you accept the updated terms.
